Launch of Propel'r teaser site

Posted by jamie at 10:10 PM. Nov 21

We’ve been extremely busy at SonicIQ over the past months working on what we believe to be the ultimate web based GTD productivity application. It’s been hush-hush for a while now, but today we’ve launched the teaser site to gauge initial interest.

As most great applications do these days, Propel’r has grown out of a need. In this case, the need for a web based application built on GTD (Getting Things Done) principles, that should also allow you to work in teams on client projects.

In our case, we needed to be able to manage multiple client projects, deadlines, resources and time all with GTD in mind. We also needed a way to receive and manage client requests, which would ultimately become projects themselves.

We are very excited about the application and would urge anyone interested in GTD, enhancing their productivity, managing client projects or simply freeing up their minds for other things to register their interest at propelr.com.

Stay tuned for further developments.

Comments are now open for this post.

We would be interested to hear about any thoughts/ideas you may have on both this teaser site and Propel’r in general.

This application will be dead in the water if you don’t release a pda accessable version with it

When do you estimate a first look at your new tool will be available?

    Thanks Simon Carr

Will there be an API available?

If this really works, people are going to want to create all kinds of desktop tools for interacting with it.

I already know a few people that would want to make a TextMate interface for it. Maybe even a Mac OS X Dashboard widget or two.

Cedric: We a working very hard to ensure the application can be used on all mobile devices with minimum requirements. Basically as long as you have a connection and a browser of some kind you will have access to your projects etc.

Thomas: We are aiming for there to be a simple API in place for later beta releases. For the initial release there will be RSS feeds of your data (projects, actions, etc) and iCalendar feeds of your events and deadlines.

Simon: Currently we can’t commit to a specific date, however expect to see an initial release early ‘07.

    Need ETA on product release.

Craig: Unfortunately, I can’t be any more specific than early ‘07. As soon as we have a confirmed date for the initial beta, I will make a blog post.

If you would like the latest announcements, please leave your email in the interested form.

Hi, just wondering – is this software officially endorsed by David Allen or simply based upon his ideas?

    Thanks,

    Riordan

Riordan: It is not officially endorsed by David Allen however it is based on and encourages the practice of his GTD methodology.
